OUTDOOR EDUCATION

Students enjoying the outdoors

Here at Kiwetin, we realize the importance of children spending time in nature and have encouraged our classrooms to spend time every day outdoors. What began in 2019 in the Senior Kindergarten class, has gradually extended into all of our classrooms.
“Forest School is a child-centered inspirational learning process, that offers opportunities for holistic growth through regular sessions. It is a long-term program that supports play, exploration and supported risk taking. It develops confidence and self-esteem through learner inspired, hands-on experiences in a natural setting.” – Forest School Association

This year, all of our classrooms spend time every day outdoors, learning, exploring and playing. Most classrooms have a designated area to call their own. Our students are equipped with proper gear to head outside in all seasons!
